Athens, Greece
Our more lovely day in Athens! Our final stop on the cruise is back in Athens, where we began last year's cruise. And we had enjoyed a day trip there in 2012. We love the area around the Plaka, Acropolis and Syntagma Square. We will be staying in the same hotel, Grande Bretagne, and explore the Acropolis and Plaka from there. We learned that a short, inexpensive taxi ride from the hotel drops you at the base of the Acropolis.
We will explore the hill again with our friends and then on to the museum (hopefully there will not be a bomb threat this time!), and finally into the Plaka for shopping and lunch. Dinner of course will be at the rooftop restaurant at the hotel! Same view as the picture above, which was taken there last year.
While this will be the ending point of our cruise, it's a wonderful "icing" to our "cake". We are really looking forward to our trip!
We will fly back home on Saturday the 27th and end this adventure.

What we plan to do:
Explore the Acropolis, the New Museum, the Plaka, lunch at Scholario, and shopping! Dinner on the roof of the hotel with the Acropolis lit and shining in the night! Sounds perfect!
