Sea Day Friday, 23 March After a long series of port days and lots of adventures, we had a "rest day". Carey had a massage and Randy went on the Navigational Bridge tour conducted by the Captain and the First Officer. He really enjoyed seeing the inner workings of the bridge while Carey snoozed on the massage table! After lunch we went to the Ice Carving demonstration on the pool deck. It was not very warm outside so it was actually a great time to carve on the pool deck. It was interesting to watch the block of ice become an eagle through the vision and hands of the carver. After that we played in the Blackjack tournament. Carey took second place! Woo Hoo!
Dinner, Colin's piano concert, and a little dancing in the Bar and we were ready to get a good night's sleep before arriving in Athens and climbing to the top of the Acropolis!
Postings before the Trip:
Friday, 23 March 2012 is the first of two sea days on our cruise. "Second in the Silversea fleet, Silver Wind is much like Silver Cloud and a shining example of intimate, elegant cruising. As spacious as a grand hotel, as gracious as a best friends’ home, the lifestyle on board Silver Wind is one of fewer guests, more space and features Silversea’s renowned personalised service. Recent Silver Wind ship refurbishments include upgraded interiors and enticing enhancements that include a new ocean-view spa, new Observation Lounge, and eight new suites."
